Dhaka – Two students were killed after their motorbike was run over by a speeding covered-van inChittagong’s Customs Intersection area on Sunday night. The victims were identified as Imrul Hasan Shibli, 22, a BBA student of International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC) and Mahtab Karim Siddiqui, 25, an honours final year student of Chittagong Government Commerce College.Police said the accident occurred when the speeding covered van hit the motorcycle in the area around 11.30pm while they were returning home from Patenga sea beach, leaving Mahtab dead on the spot.Imrul was declared dead by the attending doctors after he was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.Police detained the covered-van driver and his helper along with the vehicle.
