Dhaka – Green Leaf Cricket Academy and Axiom Cricketers notched eight-wicket victories each against their rivals in their Group C matches of the 24-team Dhaka Second Division ODM Cricket League at two separate venues in the outskirts of Dhaka on Sunday Green Leaf CA (197/2 in 43.1 overs) outplayed Dhaka Royal Cricketers (196/9 in 50 overs) at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground 4 in Savar, UNB news agency reported.Green Leaf CA’s wicket-keeper batsman Shahadat Hossain and number 4 batsman Aryan Fahim played an unbeaten innings of 108 in 19.2 overs in the 3rd wicket for their final collection, starting from 89/2 in 23.5 overs.Shahadat scored 68 runs while Aryan added 56. Dhaka Royal’s opener Prottoy Kundu made a half century of 53 runs. Axiom Cricketers (149/2 in 35.5 overs) defeated Rupali Bank Krira Parishad (148/10 in 35.3 overs) at Fatullah Outer Stadium in Narayanganj.The 3rd pair between Sajid Hasan and Wahedul Islam played unbeaten innings of 75 in 20.5 overs for Axiom Cricketers winning collection, starting from 74/2 in 15 overs.Sajid made a half century of 52 runs while Wahedul added 40 runs.Earlier, Nabiul Islam’s five wickets for 28 runs in 7.3 overs helped Axiom Cricketers restrict Rupali Bank KP.Meanwhile, the day’s another Group C match between North Bengal Cricket Academy and Udity Club was abandoned due to rain at Jagannath Hall Ground of Dhaka University.North Bengal CA scored 265/10 in 40 overs. In reply, Udity Club opened the innings and collected 64/1 in 9 overs when the rain halted the match which was finally declared abandoned.
