Police arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 500 grams of hemp from Majhail village in Sreepur upazila on Saturday night.The arrestee was identified as Mintu Quazi, 27, son of Amin Uddin of the village.Biplob Kumar Nath, acting officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station, said Mintu had been openly selling different illegal drugs, including wine and hemp, in the area for long.Nobody dared to protest the illegal act.Police conducted a drive at the village on Saturday night and arrested Mintu along with 500 grams of the cannabis.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Magura
