Dhaka – A minor boy was injured in a bomb explosion at Saharbati village in Gangni upazlia in Meherpur on Thursday morning.The injured was identified as Sumon, 9, son of Rezaul of the village.Locals said Sumon saw a ball-like object wrapped in scotch tape while collecting palms near their house around 11.
As he tried to pick it up, the object which was a bomb went off with a big bang, leaving him injured.
The injured was first taken to Meherpur General Hospital from where he was shifted to Kushtia Medical College Hospital.
Officer-in-charge of Gangni Police Station Harendranath Sarker said police recovered two more live bombs from the spot. “Investigation is on to find out who kept the bombs there,” he said.UNB
