Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) personnel seized 1073 bottles of Indian
Phensidyl syrup from a truck at Bankhur in sadar upazila of the
district on Monday.
Rab-5 Joypurhat camp sources said acting on a tip-off, a team of the
elite force intercepted a Dhaka-bound wheat-laden truck on the
Joypurhat-Hili Highway around 5.00am and recovered 1073 bottles of
Phensidyl hidden inside the vehicle.
The law enforcers also seized the truck.
However, driver and helper of the vehicle fled away sensing the
presence of the Rab members.
