Dhaka – A minor girl was killed as a motorcycle hit her on Manirampur- Noapara road at Hogladanga village in Manirampur upazila in Jashore on Saturday noon.The deceased was identified as Rani, 6, a class one student of Hogladanga Government Primary School and daughter of van-puller Mohon Karmakar of the village.
The deceased’s relatives said Rani went to watch television at her uncle’s house on the opposite of their house. A speeding Noapara bound motorcycle hit her while she was crossing the road around 2:30pm, leaving her critically injured.
Locals took her to upazila health complex where the doctor at emergency department declared her dead.
Mokarram Hossain, officer-in-charge of Manirampur Police Station, said that on information police visited the spot but the killer motorcyclist managed to flee the scene.The body was sent to Jashore General Hospital morgue for autopsy, the OC added.UNB
