A man was killed in an attack by his maternal uncle at Hargaram Koraitala in the city on Monday night.The deceased was identified as Al Amin, 30, son of Abdul Wahab of the area.Local sources said there had been a longstanding dispute between Al Amin and his mother’s step brother Malek over different issues.As a sequel to it, Malek and his associates swooped on Al Amin and stabbed him with a dagger when he was returning home after saying Tarabi prayers at about 9.30pm, leaving him injured, they said.Critically injured Al Amin was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital where attending doctors declared him dead.The victim’s father Abdul Wahab filed a case against four people including Malek with Rajpara Police Station.Officer-in-charge of the police station ABM Rezaul Islam confirming the incident said Malek was wanted by police in several cases. – UNB, Rajshahi
