2,616 Hajj pilgrims reached Saudi Arabia

On the first day of Hajj pilgrim’s departure for KSA, a total of 2,616 pilgrims boarding on 7 aircrafts reached to the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA) to perform the holy Hajj yesterday.
Four flights of Biman Bangladesh Airlines and 3 flights of Saudi Airlines carried 836 pilgrims under government management while a total of 1,782 pilgrims went Saudi Arabia under private management so far, according to the first bulletin of Hajj office in Dhaka.
Under government and private management, some 1, 26,923 pilgrims from Bangladesh are expected to perform hajj this year, it added.
Subject to the sighting of moon, the holy Hajj will be held on August 10 next, according to the Religious Affairs Ministry.
The last Hajj flight will fly for Saudi Arabia on August 5 next from Bangladesh while the return flights will start on August 17, 2019, reports BSS.
