An accused in a motorcycle theft case on Monday fled away from the
dock of a court here untying his handcuff tactfully.
The arrestee was identified as Roni Miah, 30, son of Jahirul Islam of
Sonargaon upazila of the district.
Sources at the court said Roni who has several cases filed with
Siddhirganj and Sonargaon thanas was arrested in one of them for
lifting a motorbike.
At about 11:30am, police brought Roni on the court premises from jail
along with 15 other prisoners and produced him before a court from
where he fled away by opening his handcuff tactfully.
In this connection, the superintendent of police of Narayanganj said
they were trying to track down Roni. –UNB, Narayanganj
