A housewife has been found dead in her husband’s house at Shimulia village in Gazaria upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Hasi Akhter, 23, wife of Nazrul Islam and daughter of Dhanu Miah of Luterchar in Daudkandi upazila of
Comilla district.Neighbours found the lifeless body of Hasi in the yard of their house
on Tuesday noon and informed police who later recovered and sent it to Munshiganj General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
Jahangir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Gazaria Police Station, said Hasi’s husband Nazrul has gone into hiding following the incident.
The OC suspected that Hasi might have died from torture by her husband.-UNB
