Police here on Tuesday morning recovered hanging body of a college girl from her house in Kamal gate area under Sadarghat police station
of the city.
The deceased was identified as Arifa Khatun Juli, 22, a second-year Honours student at Government City College and daughter of Abdul Motaleb of the area.Mirza Zahir, sub-inspector of the police station, said mother of the deceased found the body hanging with the ceiling fan of her (Juli’s) room when she went there to call her daughter in the morning around 9:30am.Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.Police are investigating the incident, the SI added.
