Rajshahi University Model United Nations Association (RUMUNA), a non-political organisation has been launched at Rajshahi Univerrsity.
The organisation commenced its activities formally on Thursday with a press conference held at central cafeteria around 1:00pm.The association formed aiming to exercise Model United Nations (MUN) culture among the students of the university and to uphold the acclaim of the university in international sphere, said Arshadur Rahman Ark,convener of RUMUNA.The vice chancellor of the university Prof Dr. Muhammad Mizanuddinn will have as the chief advisor while Prof Sadekul Arefin Matin, student advisor of the university would be the advisor of the association, he added. They also will hold a seminar titled ‘Recruitment camp and fresher’s workshop’ soon on the campus where no student will be barred to participate.They hoped that this organisation will help the students to bring light their dormant merit and also will create leadership quality among them. –Correspondent, RU
