A human hauler (Bhot Bhoti) driver was killed as a tractor knocked down his vehicle at Barobhita in Gomostapur upazila on Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Nasir, 18, son of Asar Uddin of Shahbazpur of Shibganj upazila.
Firoz Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Gomostapur Police Station, said the accident took place at about 8.30am when a sand-laden tractor hit the human hauler coming from the opposite direction, killing its driver Nasir on the spot.
Later, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy.
