Eight policemen and an Election Officer have been injured when a SUV in which they were travelling fell into a roadside ditch at Lohagarha Upazila in Chittagong. The accident occurred around 11am on Wednesday on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway.The policemen were admitted to Lohagarha Upazila Health Complex. A Sub-Inspector and seven constables led by Naikhyangchharhi Upazila Election Officer Reazur Rahman were on their way to Bandarban to collect election materials, Lohagarha Police Station OC Md Shahjahan said. The SUV fell into the ditch, leaving all the policemen injured, he said.
