A college student was killed in a bike crash on Dhaka-Shayestaganj road at Kalimnagar on Tuesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Rafiq Mia, 20, an HSC second year student of Ajmiriganj College and son of Billal Mia of Petuakandi in Habiganj sadar. Police and witnesses said the accident took place as Rafiq’s bike crashed into a truck when Rafiq along with his friend Helal returning to Shayestaganj after attending their class, leaving Rafiq dead on the spot.Helal was admitted to Sadar Hospital with critical injuries.Outraged by the accident, local people vandalized several vehicles on the road. Later, police control the situation.Rafiq’s body was sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy. –UNB, Habiganj
