A minor boy was killed in a road accident in Gopinathpur area of Mohammadpur upazila on Friday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Liton, 10, son of Saiful Islam of Zashpur village of the upazila. Officer-in-charge of Mohammadpur Police Station Manirul Islam and hospital sources said a speeding truck ran over him in the area around 4:00 pm when he was returning from a relative’s house at Rajapur village riding a bicycle, leaving him critically injured.He was taken to Mohammadpur Upazila Health Complex where attending doctors declared him dead. Police seized the truck.However, its driver managed to flee the scene.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Magura
