A schoolboy who suffered injuries in an attack allegedly by his friend in Sadar upazila of Jessore district on Monday died at Jessore 250-bed Hospital on Wednesday night.
The deceased was identified as Ismail Hossain, 14, a student of Class VI of Basundia High School in Sadar upazila and son of Asaduzzaman Khan, a resident of Afra village in Narail Sadar upazila.Victim’s uncle Jahidul Islam Khan said Ismail along with his friends Hadiuzzaman and Emon was playing cricket in a field in the area on Monday afternoon.An altercation ensued between Hadiuzzaman and Ismail over the game.At one stage, Hadiuzzaman hit Ismail with the cricket bat, leaving him injured.He was admitted to Jessore 250-bed Hospital with critical wounds where he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday night. -UNB, Benapole (Jessore)
