Two persons were killed in separate incidents in the district on Wednesday and Tuesday.
The victims were Ruhul Amin, 55, hailed from Durgapur area of Mirsari upazila and Bappi Dey, 22, son of Lalu Dey, hailed from Bhujpur area under Bhujpur thana under Fatikchari upazila.
Ruhul Amin, received serious injury as a group of miscreants chopped him indiscriminately in Durgapur area of Mirsari upazila at 10.00 last night.
Local’s brought him to Mirsari upazila health complex where the attending doctors declared him dead.
Bhujpur thana police recovered decomposed body of Bappi, from a pond of Narayanhat area of Bhujpur at 8.00 this morning.
Police suspected that the victim jumped into the pond after overdrinking last night.
No marks or injury was found on the body, Sub Inspector Milon Kumar Mondol of Bhujpur thana said.
