Jamunal Group chief Nurul Islam Babul on Tuesday filed bail bond with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka in two separate cases filed with Bhatara Police Station of the capital.
Magistrate Md Ashiqur Rahman of the court allowed him to file the bail bonds of Tk 10,000 each.Engineer Abul Hossain of Jamuna Future Park Project also filed bail bond on the same day. Earlier, the two accused sought permission of the CMM Court to submit bail bond.
One of the two cases was filed in connection with death of motorcyclist Shahin Mia as a broken shutter falling from the top of under construction Jamuna Future Park building had fallen upon him. The other case was lodged as security workers of Jamuna Park wore dress like that of RAB.
However, the accused obtained bail from the High Court in the cases and that ended on Tuesday.
Shahin Mia was killed on December 31 of last year and later his elder brother Hajrat Ali lodged the case against the accused. Babul was made the main accused in the case. Meanwhile, on January 12, RAB-1, DAD Md Parimuddin filed the other case against 13 people including Babul. – Court Correspondent
