A worker was killed as a few stones fell on him at Bichhnakandi quarry in Goainghat upazila on Wednesday evening.
The deceased was identified as Sarwar Hossain, 25, son of Usman Ali,a resident of Chhatti village in the upazila.Quoting locals, police said a pile of stones fell off abruptly on Usman at about 6:30 pm when he was doing quarrying work, leaving him dead on the spot.Police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue for an autopsy. -UNB, Sylhet
