Police recovered a big consignment of heroin worth about Taka one crore and arrested three alleged drug peddlers from Bhanga upazilla of the district in the small hours of Monday.
According to police sources, a team of Police led by Sub-Inspector Sheikh Saiful, acting on a tip off, raided the house of one Abul Shaikh of Kapuria Sadardi under Bhanga pourasabha. After searching the house police recovered the heroin weighing about one kilogram.Police arrested one Omar Farukh, 45, hailing from Bishnupur of Comilla district, Suman Rahman, 45, of Merul Badda, Dhaka and Raju Sheikh, 28, of Bhanga on charge of drug peddling.Police sent the arrested persons to court. -BSS, Faridpur
