Polling in eight centres in Sadar upazila has been suspended to prevent possible violence and casting of fake votes in the fourth phase of upazila parishad elections on Sunday.
Nazmul Alam, district election officer, confirming the incident said the Election Commission suspended the voting in the eight centres, including Morich Bunia Darul Sunnah Dakhil Madrasa, Malaikathi Government Primary School, Biruapur Primary School and Nandipara Government Primary School, apprehending violence and vote manipulation. -UNB, Patuakhali
