A farmer was killed when a thunderbolt struck him at Binodpur Moulvikandi village in sadar upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Abul Kalam Sheikh, 45, son of late Abdul Kader Sheikh of the village.
Police said lightning struck Abul Kalam when he was working in his land at about 7 am, leaving him dead on the spot.
