Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered an Indian-made pistol from Mohanpur border area in Shibganj upazila on Tuesday night.
Lieutenant Colonel Abu Zafar Sheikh, commanding officer of Chapainawabganj BGB Battalion-9, said a group of smugglers was entering Bangladesh from India through the border at about 10:30 pm Sensing the presence of the BGB members, the smugglers fled the scene leaving a bag behind.Later, BGB members recovered a pistol from the bag.However, no one was arrested in this connection.A case was filed in this connection.The recovered pistol was deposited to Shibganj Police Station. -UNB, Chapainawabganj
