At least 50 people including women were injured following a clash between two rival groups at Noagaon village under Sadar upazila here Wednesday afternoon.
Police said the clash broke out between two rival groups of villagers centering over catching fish of a pond in the area.
As a sequel to enmity both the groups equipped with lethal weapons attacked each other, leaving 50 people injured.
Of the injured, 10 persons were admitted to Habiganj sadar hospital. The rest were given first aid.
Being informed, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control, said Office in-charge of sadar thana Nazim Uddin. -BSS, Habiganj
