BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Monday night threatened to wage a movement if Rab is not disbanded as the elite force has become matter of horror for the country’s people. “Disband Rab as people can’t sleep at night in peace due to its horrific acts like abductions and killings… We’ll wage a movement and continue it until Rab is disbanded,” she said. The former prime minister came up with the demand while exchanging greetings with members of the Buddhist community at her Gulshan office on the occasion of Buddha Purnima. The BNP chief said, “Rab is no longer a national force…it’s now a political organisation.” – UNB
