Failure to obtain desired SSC result prompts a suicide

After failing to obtain desired result in the SSC examination, a boy allegedly committed suicide in the port city on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sourav, 17, son of Sanjida Khatun, a nurse of Chittagong Medical College Hospital )CMCH). Locals said Sourav appearing in this year’s SSC examination from a school in Pabna district achieved GPA-4.03.
As soon as he came to know about his results published on Saturday, Sourav went to a room of their house in Mehedibagh Government Colony under Chawkbazar Police Station and hanged himself from a ceiling fan around 4pm.
Family members rushed him to the CMCH where doctors declared him dead. – UNB
