Police in a drive arrested an alleged drug peddler along with 250 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup at Parnaduali village in the district town on Tuesday morning.The arrestee was identified as Arzina Begum,30 wife of Amirul Islam, a resident of Brac office area of the same village.Jahangir Alam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said on secret information, a team of police conducted a raid on Amirul’s house and recovered 250 bottles of the syrup.Police arrested Arzina while Amirul managed to flee the scene.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Magura
