Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 1,487 bottles of contraband phensidyl from Haravanga village under Gangni upazila of the district last night.On a tip-off, a BGB team from Saharatala Camp conducted the drive in the area at about 12.30 am and recovered the phensidyl from a field of the frontier village, said camp commander Nayek Subedar Abdul Baten.Sensing the presence of the BGB members the smugglers managed to flee away, he said. -BSS, Meherpur
