Confusing crude bomb attacks panic people

Panic gripped the apex court on Sunday after the bomb was discovered at a courtroom in the afternoon. Police have confirmed the recovery of a bomb from the High Court.
Two more objects, resembling bombs, were found within an hour. Police were examining them. A lawyer saw them at the court of justices Md Nizamul Huq and SH Md Nurul Huda Jaigirdar after a hearing.
Court police’s Inspector Israfil Hossian said these objects were kept inside a large book.Earlier, a bomb-like object was discovered at the courtroom of justices Zinat Ara and Md Habibul Gani.
It was wrapped in tape and hidden inside a book.
The object was taken to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s office where tests confirmed that it was a bomb, said DMP bomb disposal unit’s Assistant Commissioner Rahmatullah Chowdhury.
Miscreants threw three crude bombs at the house of BNP’s human rights affairs secretary Barrister Nasir Uddin Asim at Dhanmondi in the city on Sunday night.
The crude bombs were hurled at the house at Dhanmondi-1 around 11:25pm, said Asim’s personal assistant Sohel.
He said two of the crude bombs went off with a big bang while the rest remained unexploded.
However, no one was injured in the incident.
Bombs were also hurled at the foreign office on the day. None however was injured.
Earlier on Friday a private car belonging to Bnp chief Khaleda Zia’s adviser Sabihuddin Ahmed was set on fire. A group of miscreants poured petrol on the car before setting it afire, sources said.
The other day bumbs were hurled at the Banani home of Law Minister in in front of the residence of a High Court judge in Dhanmandi residential area.
Police arrested BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Shamsuzzaman Dudu from the city’s Mirpur area on Sunday night.
A team of Mirpur Police Station picked the BNP leader up from his vehicle at Jhute Palli in Mirpur-10 around 9:15pm, said BNP chairperson’s media wing member Sayrul Kabir Khan.
