Unidentified miscreants fired four rounds of bullet at the house of Prof. Emajuddin Ahmed, former vice chancellor of Dhaka University at about 9 pm on Saurday.
Prof. Dil Roushan Jannat of Political Science Department of the university and daughter of Prof. Emajuddin Ahmed informed journalists that four unidentified people came near their residence at the Nilkhet slope and fired five rounds at the building.A glass windowpane of the former vice chancellor’s bedroom cracked as a result of the firing. Prof. Emajuddin Ahmed was at his house at the time.
OC (Investigation) of New Market Thana however told journalists that they had no such information.
