DHAKA, June 2 :Abahani Limited held a doa Mahfil and discussion meeting after post asar prayer for it’s director freedom fighter, renowned industrialist and former lawmaker Alhaj Mokbul Hossain and another club director and former national footballer Golam Rabbani Helal at the club premise in the city’s Dhanmondi, said a Abahani limited press release on Tuesday.
Haji Mokbul, the Awami League (AL) Advisory Council Member, breathed his last on May 24 last at the Combined Military Hospital, Dhaka where he was undergoing CV treatment.
On the other hand Golam Rabbani Helal, who was on life support at the city’s Square Hospital after suffering brain hemorrhage at the city’s Square hospital, passed away on May 30.
The former national midfielder Helal, who was in the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for the last few days, has left behind a wife and two daughters and host of well wishers to mourn his death.
