Accident snaps Dhaka, Sylhet, Ctg rail links for 3 hours

Chittagong’s rail links with capital Dhaka and the north-eastern city of Sylhet have been snapped after a train derailed in Comilla.
Railways officials say a compartment of Chittagong-bound Jalalabad Express went off the track at Bizupur at around 10am on Friday.“The train tilted as four wheels of a compartment were derailed snapping communication on the Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes,” Comilla railway station’s Assistant Executive Engineer Ihsanul Islam said.
A rescue train would come from Laksham, he said and hoped that rail communication would resume soon. The train links were restored after three hours– bdnews24.com
