Popular Bangladeshi actress Parvin Sultana Diti breathed her last on Sunday after a long battle with brain cancer.
Diti died in United Hospital of the capital at 4:00pm, said Shagufa Anwar, chief of communications and business development of the hospital.She was going through treatment under neurosurgery consultant Sayed Sayeed Ahmed.
Diti was on life support at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Madras Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology (MIOT) hospital last year.She was brought back home on 8 January and admitted to United Hospital.Diti was working in two serials – Life in a Metro and Meghe Dhaka Shohor – and the film Raja Babu directed by Bodiul Alam Khokon before she got cancer.
