Chittagong: AFC Health Limited, in collaboration with renowned Indian Cardiac Chain Fortis Escorts Heart Institute opened its second specialised cardiac hospital –AFC Health Fortis Heart Institute in Chittagong on March 25. The first such institute was opened in Khulna earlier.
Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Economic Affairs Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh and famous Cardiologist Dr. Ashok Seth, Chairman, Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Delhi, India jointly inaugurated the cardiac hospital in city’s O.R. Nizam Road.
The hospital will be a one-stop destination for the patients of Chittagong and surrounding areas for all heart related ailments. Equipped with cutting edge technology and a team of super-specialists in cardiology and cardiac surgery, this hospital will help early diagnosis and prompt medical and surgical treatment that will substantially improve clinical outcome in case of heart related disorders.
The hospital is located in 8th-10th level of Chevron Laboratories with 52 beds, two Cath Labs and Chittagong’s first Modulator Operation Theatre which will cater all sorts of cardiac procedural and surgical needs. Other than these, International Standard Emergency Care, ICCU, CCU and Dialysis services will be available round the clock.
Dr. Ashok Seth, Chairman, Fortis Escorts Delhi informed that the Centre will follow the protocols laid down by Fortis Escorts Delhi. He added that Fortis Escorts will exchange its updated technological knowledge to enrich the super-specialty excellence of this centre.
