AFC U-19 Qualifiers: Bangladesh to play Bhutan on Sunday

Dhaka – Bangladesh Under-19 men’s football team will play against Bhutan Under-19 men’s football team in their third and last group match of AFC U-19 Championship’2020 Qualifiers on Sunday.

The match will kick-off at 7:15 pm (BST) at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Bahrain capital Manama.

In the day’s other match, hosts Bahrain will take on Jordan at 10 pm (BST) at the same venue.

Ahead of the match, Bangladeshi booters made their recovery and swimming sessions on Saturday.

Bangladesh Captain cum defender Yeasin Arafat said that they will give their best effort in tomorrow’s match.

“We drew with Jordan and earned one point. We have chance to qualify for the final. We are fit and prepared for tomorrow. We will give our best efforts in tomorrow’s match against Bhutan,” said Arafat, also a member of Bangladesh national football team.

About their plan for Bhutan, Bangladesh Head Coach Andrew Peter Turner said, “Boys are confident after yesterday’s match against Jordan. Bhutan is good team, but we have taken good preparation for them.”

Bangladesh started their campaign conceding 0-3 goals defeat against Bahrain on Wednesday last but they returned on the race after playing 1-1 draw against Jordan on Friday.

Bhutan conceded a 0-3 goals defeat against Jordan in their first match and suffered 0-4 goals defeat against Bahrain in the second match.

Bahrain are at the top of the table securing 6 points from two matches with two wins, Jordan are 2nd earning 4 points from with one win and one defeat, Bangladesh are 3rd collecting one point with one draw and one defeat while Bhutan are yet to open account.UNB
