AL men hurt in crude bomb attack in Bangladesh’s Comilla

At least five local leaders and activists of Awami League were injured as miscreants hurled crude bombs to an election campaign office in Nautola of Chandina upazila on Saturday evening.

The injured are Md Abdul Kader, 35, Wayer Ahmed, 22, Ibrahim Khalil, 18, Ruhul Amin, 40, and Moslem 60.Several miscreants riding on a microbus came in front of office adjacent to Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 7:30 pm and hurled several crude bombs while an election meeting was going on there, leaving five AL men injured, said Mohammad Abul Faisol, officer-in-charge of Chandina Police Station.

On information, police rushed in and recovered nine crude bombs from the spot.Besides, miscreants torched a ‘boat’ in Madhaiya Kath Potti near Madhaiya-Rahimanagar road immediately after the incident.
