Shakib Al Hasan bagged four wickets conceding only 14 runs while Thisara Perera bagged three to guide Rangpur Riders to a 69-run win over Dhaka Dynamites in their Bangladesh Premier League match on Wednesday.Batting first, Rangpur scored 176 thanks to Lendl Simmons’ 51 and Mohammad Mithun’s 34. Perera and Shakib added 27 and 24 respectively.
Defending the score, Rangpur skipper Shakib decided to bowl the first over himself and soon the Dhaka batsmen got baffled by his spin.Dhaka’s top scorer was Kumar Sangakkara who managed 29 while the rest of the team failed to offer much resistance as they were all out for 107.
