The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) on Monday prohibited the use of any kind of watch during the 36th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) Preliminary examination to be held on 8 January.The use of wrist watch or pocket watch or electronic watch has been banned during the BCS examination, said a BPSC handout.The authorities will provide necessary number of wall clocks in the examination halls to check time, the release added.Earlier, the commission banned using calculators during BCS preliminary examinations but it allowed calculator use for written tests.The 36th BCS preliminary examinations will be held simultaneously in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Barisal, Khulna, Sylhet and Rangpur centres.The two-hour long test will be held from 9:30am to 11:30am.
