Article 15 to be screened at the London Indian Film Festival


Ayushmann Khurrana just started shooting for Amar Kaushik’s Bala a few days back and yesterday, he announced his next film, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and today, another big news is out about the actor’s upcoming release, Article 15.
Ayushmann’s investigative drama, Article 15, has been selected as the opening film for the 10th edition of London Indian Film Festival. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, the film will be premiered on June 20. Ayushmann is playing a cop for the first time in the serious drama and the film is based on an article in the constitution of India which prohibits discriminations against anyone on the basis of caste, creed, religion and sex.
Shot in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, Article 15, also stars Isha Talwar, Sayani Gupta, Kumud Mishra, Manoj Pahwa and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub. Produced by Banaras MediaWorks Article 15 is slated to release on June 28 in India.
Also, Ritesh Batra’s Photograph starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Sanya Malhotra is selected as the closing film of the festival, reports ANI.
