As we all are preparing for the 2018 Midterm Election through our chapter meetings across the five States from New York to Georgia, we are cordially inviting you to attend the following two important events –· Saturday, February 24, at 11:00 am (sharp) at Foley Square, 111 Worth Street, New York, NY 10013 for a Working People’s Day of Action. (4, 5, 6, C, J, N, Q, R, W trains to City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge). Please wear ASAAL Hats during the rally! And
· Sunday, February 25, at 3:00 pm we will be traveling to Philadelphia to endorse Dr. Nina Ahmed, 1st qualified South Asian running for Congress fromPA 1; and
with our help, she can win!
– Nina Ahmed, Ph. D. is a Scientists, strongly progressive, and a first generation American – Served as an Adviser to the President Barak Obama’s Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islanders
– Former Deputy Mayor for the City of Philadelphia
– Former President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the National Organization for Women
– An ASAAL Life Member and National Executive Council Adviser.
Our Pennsylvania Chapter ASAAL will be the host committee. Please talk to ASAAL members who are going with a car to take 4 others with him! We will leave around 3 pm from our respective Chapter designated locations! Our goal is to reach at Tarka Restaurant, 3801 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 by 5:00 PM, take some refreshments and start at 6:00 PM. Our New Jersey Chapter Delegation will join us there! Please confirm your attendance!
We are requesting all ASAAL members, friends, and families to schedule their time accordingly and join us at these important events, and be part of monumental history! Remember, the stronger you are the stronger ASAAL becomes! And if it is ASAAL, it is for Real!!
