Asian Indoor Hockey: Bangladesh concede 0-8 defeat to Iran

Dhaka – Bangladesh National Hockey team conceded a 0-8 goals defeat to the holders Iran in their second match of AHF Men’s Asian Indoor Hockey 2019 at Chonburi of Thailand on Tuesday.
Reza Norouzzadeh made a hat-trick and Hamid Nooranian scored two goals while Amirmahdi Mirzakhanian, Taherirad Navid and Beiranvand Behdad scored one goal each for Iran.
Iran have secured 3 points from their first match of the tournament while Bangladesh is yet to open their account after facing two successive defeats.
On Tuesday’s match, Hamid Nooranian scored the first goal for his side (1-0) while Nooranian doubled the margin scoring his second goal in the 3rdminute (2-0).
Bangladesh got another blow while Reza Norouzzadeh scored his first goal from the penalty corner in the 10thminute (3-0).
In the 16thminute, Amirmahdi Mirzakhanian scored the fourth goal for Iran (4-0).
Iran continued their domination over Bangladesh from the beginning of the second half and clinched another success while Reza Norouzzadeh netted his second goal from another penalty corner in the 22ndminute (5-0).
Taherirad Navid extended the margin scoring the sixth goal for his side in the 30thminute (6-0) while Reza completed his hat-trick scoring third goal in the 39thminute (7-0).
In the stoppage time, Beiranvand Behdad netted the final and eighth goal of the game from the penalty corner (8-0).
In the next match, Bangladesh will face another debutants the Philippines on Wednesday (July 17) at the same venue at 9 am (BdST).
