Ayub Bachchu tribute concert in Kolkata on Nov 24

Cafe Kabira is going to  organising a tribute concert for legendary Bangladeshi rockstar Ayub Bachchu at Patuli Melar Math in Kolkata, West Bengal on November 24.Musicians and bands from both West Bengal and Bangladesh are set to perform at the event.
Among the Indian musicians are Anindya from band Sohor, Avijit Burman, Soumitra Roy from band Bhumi, Upal from band Chandrabindu, Shilajit, Gaurav Chattopadhyay Gabu from band Lakkhichhara, Pradip Chattopadhyay who is commonly known as Bula and Bapi from the band Moheener Ghoraguli, Bramhakhapa, Deb Chowdhury, and Sidhu from the band Cactus, who will perform at the concert.
The Bangladeshi musicians who will be performing at the event include Maqsood Haque from the band Maqsood ‘O’ Dhaka, Sina Hasan of Bangla Five, George Lincoln D’Costa from the band Artcell, Mehreen, Ayub Bachchu’s first guitar teacher Jacob Dayas, Subrata Barua Rony, and Imran Hossain.

Bachchu was the founder member, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of popular Bangladeshi band Love Runs Blind, commonly known as LRB.
Suffering coronary attack in his own residence, Ayub Bachchu passed away on the morning of October 18 at the age of 60. He was taken to the Square Hospital when his family members found him unconscious, where doctors pronounced him dead around 9:55am.
He had just returned from a concert in Rangpur.
Thousands of people from all walks of life thronged the Central Shaheed Minar premises on October 19 to bid farewell to the legendary rock star. His body was buried next to his mother’s grave in Chittagong.
