2018 has been phenomenal for Ayushmann Khurrana. With films like Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho to his credit, he’s hit the big league. And now it’s his latest Instagram post which has got us really excited. Ayushmann announced his next, Dream Girl in a very quirky style. Just recently we had informed you that the actor will be collaborating with Nushrat Bharucha for this project which is produced by Ekta Kapoor and will be directed Raaj Shaandilyaa. Officially announcing the film today on his social media handle, the actor-singer shared a video of him and wrote, “Of every possible role, this one, I’d be honest, would have never crossed my mind! But here I am, to play a role in and as #DreamGirl.”
Speaking about the film, Ayushmann told Mumbai Mirror, “I can’t reveal much at this point, all I can say is there’s something unique about this character. After Andhadhun and Badhaai Ho, I had to up my game and this is the funniest script I’ve heard.”
Nushrat too opened up about starring in Dream Girl. She said, “After working with Ekta in the past, this is a homecoming of sorts for me. I am excited to work with Ayushmann for this comedy entertainer. Interestingly, this year has been [favourable] for strong content-driven films; and this film will, hopefully, continue this tide,”
The film is expected to go on floors in Mathura next week, reports filmfare.
