Baby Naneen detained for trying to enter Khaleda’s office

Popular singer Baby Naznin was briefly detained in front of Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office on Sunday night as she had been there to meet the BNP chief carrying some food for her.

Police, however, released her after a while as she was taken to Gulshan Police Station.

A team of DB police detained the singer around 7:50pm as she went in front of Khaleda’s office carrying a hotpot with some cooked food, soup and curd.

Arriving in front of the office around 7:30pm, Baby Naznin sought permission from the law enforcers deployed there to allow her to enter the office to feed Khaleda the food she cooked for her.

In reply, the police men said, “We respect you as a singer and we hear your songs. But, we’re sorry not to give you the permission to go inside the office.”

Baby Naznin was waiting in front of the office requesting the law enforcers just give her permission to enter the office for a few minutes as Khaleda Zia is unfed.

A tem of female DB police members then rushed to the spot in a microbus and picked Baby Nazin up and drove her to the Gulshan Police Station.

The officer-in-charge of the police station Rafiqul Islam said they set the singer free.
