Ban on meeting at Agri Varsity, Mymensingh

The Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) is set to resume academic activities with a temporary ban on gathering and processions on the campus.
The university syndicate took the decision on Thursday, BAU spokesperson Aminur Rahman Chowdhury said. “Classes and exams will resume from Sunday amid a temporary ban on gatherings, rallies and processions,” he said.Protests by students had resulted in a deadlock after Saad Ibne Mamtaz, a student of the university, died of injuries sustained during a clash on the campus Mar 31 night.
The syndicate also decided to take initiatives to hasten the progress of Saad’s murder case and have the killers arrested. – bdnews24.com
