Bangabandhu Bangladesh Games: Blue team march to final

Dhaka, Mar 8 (UNB) : Bangladesh Women Blue team marched to the final of the Bangabandhu 9th Bangladesh Games beating Bangladesh Women Green team by nine wickets on Monday in Sylhet.
In the first match of the event, Salma Khatun-led Blue team beat Bangladesh Women Red team and took a step towards to the final.
The Green team batted first and tumbled for 83 in 39.5 overs. Captain Sharmin Sultana hit 19, the highest for her team.
For the Blue team, Mumtahina bagged four wickets while Salma and Jahanara Alam took two each.
In reply, Blue added 58 runs in the first wicket stand. Murshida Khatun was the only player for Blue who got out scoring 24 runs.
They eventually chased down the target in 22.3 overs as Shamima remained unbeaten for 30 and Farzana hit 21.
In the last match before the final, the Green team will take on the Red team on Wednesday. The winner of this game will take on the Blue team in the final on March 12.
