Bangamata U-19 Football: Bangladesh team start fitness training

Dhaka – Bangladesh women’s football team started their fitness training in gymnasium on Monday ahead of the six-nation first Bangamata U-19 Women’s International Gold Cup Football Tournament beginning in the capital on April 22.

After a busy scheduled in the recently concluded AFC U-16 Women’s Championship Qualifiers in Myanmar and SAFF Women’s Championship in Nepal, Bangladesh Women’s team started their gym session today and will start their full-pledged training session from Friday for the ensuing meet.

The participating teams of the tournament are the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Laos, Tajikistan and hosts Bangladesh.

Bangladesh, grouped with the UAE and Kyrgyzstan, want to start the tournament as favourite following their brilliant performances in the junior and youth tournaments.

In the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers, Bangladesh beat the UAE by 6-0 goals in 2014, by 4-0 goals in 1016 and by 7-0 goals in 1018 while Bangladesh defeated Kyrgyzstan by 10-0 goals in 2016.
