Bangladesh 305 all out: Australia 15-1

Chittagong, Sep 5 – Tigers scored 305 for all out on the second day of the second test giving visitors a competitive total to chase in their first innings. Aussies restrained the hosts by continuing spinn attack for the4 second day. Nathan Lyon maintained his domination of the innings and his final tally was 9 wickets. Australia succeeded to book Tigers before launch. In the batting, they suffered an early loss as skipper Mushfiqur Rahim caught Metthew Renshaw off a Mustafiz delivery for four runs. The visitors were 15 for one at the close of the fourth over when this report was written.
Earlier Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim left the crease after scoring a team highest 68 runs in the first innings of the second Test against Australia on day 2 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium Chittagong on Tuesday.
But Nasir Hossain, in his comeback series, has steadied the innings in the company of Mehedi Mirazm to ensure there has been no collapse of the Tigers first innings on the second morning.
Nathan Lyon bowled out Mushfiq to get his 6th wicket at the Tigers collection of 265/7 in 97.2 overs after the host resumed the innings with an overnight collection of 253/6 in 90 overs.
Nasir Hossain (25) was on batting while Mehedi Hasan Miraz came to pair him in the 8th stand.
On the day’s 1st session, Mushfiq faced 17 balls to add 6 runs more with his overnight collection of 62 off 149 balls including five boundaries.
Lyon delivered a loopy ball which turned straight away to Mushfiq who pressed forward the bat but the ball spin in very sharply to take the inside edge and whip the bails off.
Lyon captured five wickets on the first day and he struck Mushfiq with his second ball for the first breakthrough on day 2.
Earlier, the overnight 7th pair between skipper Mushfiq and all-rounder Nasir came to crease with their unbeaten score of 62 and 19 runs respectively.
