Bangladesh Institute of Nuke Agriculture field day observed

Mymensingh, Dec 15 – Field day was observed at the Sutiakhali area of Mymensingh Sadar by Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA) to increase rice yield through irrigation and fertilizer management. The event was funded by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). BINA scientists said that with the help of FAO/IAEA-5073 project four field demonstrations were conducted during the year 2014 regarding the effect of fertilizer and irrigation management on rice production. From the demonstration, due to proper fertilizer and irrigation management, the farmers got 1.25 times higher paddy yield than former practices.
